The Jewish teacher Samuel Echt from old Danzig who saved his life and escaped to America wrote the exceptional book "Die Geschichte der Juden in Danzig" (The history of the Jews in Danzig). On page 180 he writes that in 1938 for the Jews it was no more longer possible to use the public beach. He says in Zoppot was a special fenced part of the beach for Jews only (eingezäunter Judenstrand). Does somebody of you have any idea where this fenced part of the beach could have been? Wolfgang |
